Focusing on simple, practical shapes and with a subtle matte finish, the Fade series of glazes provide the perfect background to let your food do the talking.

Since its official opening in 1960, the Taka kiln has endeavoured to create tableware of the highest quality. Always with the future in mind, their philosophy is to protect and develop the rich history of Japanese tableware by sharing it with the rest of the world.

Slight irregularities in size, glaze and texture reflect the artisan nature of the product and are embraced.

About Made In Japan Tableware

Made in Japan Tableware (MIJ) is a company dedicated to sourcing and selling exquisite Japanese tableware. The company was founded with a clear mission: to offer high-quality, distinctive tableware in a market saturated with uninspiring options. In a fast-paced, distracted world, MIJ believes that every interaction with food and drink should be an experience to savor. Their products are designed for daily special occasions, embodying the idea of "Sunday best, every day." By elevating mealtimes and sparking conversation, MIJ aims to make every moment matter.

The tableware is carefully sourced from Japan and brought to the company's UK warehouse, where it is meticulously handled before being delivered to customers. The majority of MIJ's products are sourced from small, family-run kilns in Gifu, located on the central island of Honshu, with additional collections coming from various regions across Japan.

While each piece is crafted with love and care in Japan, it is through the loyal following of home and hospitality customers that these products truly come to life.
